My theme this weeks is: Deep Rest. This may seem counter-intuitive to some...since for many of us the requirement to stay indoors has felt like nothing but rest...
However, my observations as an intuitive have been that most people have been too afraid, worried or busy processing the trauma of this one-world event (consciously or not) to have had much time to turn off their brain. Things like constantly checking the news, contacting friends/family, or simply wondering about all the basic human needs that are now called into question - is extremely taxing to our nervous system.
If you are Empathic/Highly sensitive, this has been even more challenging as it can be difficult to separate your feelings from "the collective field", even for a seasoned professional right now!
The result of all this electrical activity in our brains and nervous systems can be felt as:
This is not an exhaustive list...but you get the idea...
There is a lot to be said for having boundaries and self care. This is critical. But at this point I am seeing a deep need for us to totally unplug and give the mind a strict order to be quiet and rest. This is so important and allows the nervous system to settle and prevent long-term disruption to our homeostasis and health.
So this week I invite you all to take the challenge to explore what deep rest means for you. Keep it simple. Be kind to yourself. Enforce your personal boundaries.
