Essential Information: This book is the ultimate reference point when it comes to safety. It's co-written by Robert Tisserand, who is a leading expert in the clinical field and very much trusted. He has his own "Safety Institute" with many further resources and trainings. As a clinical aromatherapist this was required reading and I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about safety and essential oils. I reference it constantly, especially when I want to check for contraindications with medications for my clients.
It is quite a "technical" book, but it's well written and easy to understand if you take your time with it. It includes constituent profiles and safety information for many essential oils.
A pricey textbook, but one you will have and reference for life!
Most aromatherapy books, especially clinical ones, will have basic safety information. If you're just looking for the basics, this may be too much. However, it really is the ultimate resource for safety. Anyone who is making and selling products should really have a copy.
